Sir,

Through the column of your esteemed daily, I like to ventilate my deep concern about a great nuisance caused by the indiscriminate blowing of microphones or loudspeakers in our area.

Now-a-days, cities, suburbs and other localities are subjected to a noise pollution to a great extent. During social and religious festivals microphones are blown thoughtlessly that create problem to all, specially to the students and  the patients. The students can not devote attention to their studies and patients can not sleep and suffer from irritation.

Moreover, it leads to nervous disorders and other sickness. The time schedule prescribed by the board of pollution control is not maintained and no care is put to the limited decibel. The meetings and processions of the political parties also create sound pollution. Such noise pollution is harmful to health and to the environment. Proper action must be taken against the offenders. At the same time people must be made conscious of the ill effects of sound pollution.

So, I earnestly request you to take your mighty pen to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to take effective steps to curb out the problem as soon as possible.

Yours Sincerely,

Arun Dutta
