Travelling has many purposes, like gaining of knowledge, refreshing our physical and mental state. It also widens our mental horizon, removes our prejudices with enrichment of knowledge we gather from other countries.
Travelling has great educational values. It gives us first hand knowledge of the places through which we pass. The history of long ago which we read in books appears real and vivid when we visit a place of historical importance. Geography students gather knowledge about climate, people, crops, minerals, culture and livelihood of the place.
Considering the importance of travelling many educational tours are being conducted by schools, colleges, universities.

Some of us go to healthy place to recover our health. Thus, travelling combines the pleasure of adventure with joy of knowledge and experience. It also promotes universal brotherhood. Moreover, it develops tourism and economy of a country. Thus, travelling contributes a lot in shaping our life.
