A notice is a written or printed announcement written with the purpose of informing a large number of people about some events or programmes that has already happened or is going to happen. 

Notice Writing Format:

It is important that we should follow the prescribed format for notice writing to write it effectively. The followings are the process of notice writing –

• Write the name of the authority or organization or institution which is issuing the notice at the top of the page. 

• Write the title ‘NOTICE‘ in bold and capital letters under the issuing authority. 

• Write the relevant heading as the subject of the notice. 

• Write the issuing date of the notice at the extreme right of the page. 

• Write the issuing notice number at the left side of the page. 

• Write body of the notice precisely in one or two stanzas. 

• Write the notice in short, crisp highlighting only the essential points. 

• Don’t write notice in first person or use personal information. 

• Repetition of any information should be avoided

• Focus on the presentation and clarity with definite purpose.
