Sir,

Through the column of your esteemed daily, I would like to ventilate my deep concern about the problem of reckless driving of buses, cars, bikers in our nearest highway in recent times causing a great problem to the people of our area.

Reckless driving has now become a new menace, causing a great threat of life to the pedestrians as well as to the passengers. One can face how the bus drivers, specially at the office time drive their buses at break-neck speed to overtake other buses. Their mad and senseless competition sometimes becomes so fatal that it claims life. Very often the bikers flaunt the traffic rules and regulations. Many innocent people are to pay for this unregulated driving. Traffic police is not adequate to control this situation. Strict law and punishable steps should be enforced.
